I think you need to try it with real dreams and not fake data

Especially if you want to start to develop a model for interrogating people’s dream space

Like when people come to me with dreams, I find very unusual sets of questions that I ask them, sometimes. I don’t think that fake dreams are going to help develop that kind of model.

It would also be pretty cool to build a system like this and incorporate some kind of consciousness instrument. Like the REG devices from pear lab and the GCP.

For example, you could look for shifts in consciousness relative to when a person has asked a question, and beforehand for the precognitive signal. Particularly you would want to look for a shift that might indicate a question lacks resonance.

That way, you can hopefully recognize when the custom model of dream exploration is going off track from the individuals needs.  Whether because the custom model is not yet human enough, or because you’re relying on the base LLM model, which is even further disconnected.

And if you wanted to lean into the idea that existing LLM technology has consciousness attachment, you could work on a query format to try to summon that information. For instance, you could start a separate thread with another assistant model. Or you could use a separate API to a different LLM service altogether. Max out the temperature and other perplexity  try to get it poetic and then reduce it down again to a decision of user resonance

This would act as a stand in for the real consciousness attached instrument. And if one truly believes that existing LLM’s can be consciousness, sensitive technology, then there should be a way to develop that.

Another example could be using a local LLM that operates within the browser API. The idea there would be that the temperature and other randomness draws from random number generators that are in the computer that is local to the person, and perhaps there is a degree of attunement that is happening, which leads to the randomness, modeling consciousness sensitivity.
