One such simplification has been attempted using a geometric form known as a star tetrahedron - constructed by two tetrahedra centered 180° to each other. When mapped to a sphere, six corners touch points 19.5° above and below the equator. These latitudes are unique, for they are the place on all celestial bodies where most magnetic activity occurs: volcanoes on earth; the Great Eye of Jupiter; storms on Venus and Mars, as well as most Sun Spots.
