This geometry can be extrapolated even further with hexagrams - a stack of two trigrams. A cube can be volumetrically divided in eight cubic regions, each of which are mapped with the same cubic system of trigrams. The mapping of a Tesseract is also possible with hexagrams, which can be extrapolated to map a cubic structure with any number of dimensions.
