This multidimensional geometry turns up again with the I Ching, a system that Asian cultures have used to look at many facets of life. The system is polar, having its origins in a quintessential point, which divides into male/female. These two divide again into four season, which divide further into eight basic forms of nature. There are called 'trigrams', and there are considered to be two arrangements of them: Fu Hsi (virgin balance), and King Wen (rhythm of life).
